Vivo T3 Launching Soon in India with MediaTek 5G Chip

Vivo is gearing up to expand its 5G smartphone portfolio in India with the launch of the new Vivo T3 phone on March 21, 2024. The latest affordable 5G offering from Vivo will be sold exclusively online via Flipkart at a starting price of Rs 18,999.

Vivo will be counting on an impressive spec sheet led by the MediaTek Dimensity 7200 processor, fast charging and a versatile camera setup to attract young smartphone buyers. Let’s take a closer look at what we know about the Vivo T3 so far:

Vivo T3 Expected Pricing and Available Variants

Vivo T3 will come in two RAM/storage configurations at launch – 8GB/128GB priced at Rs 18,999 and 8GB/256GB for Rs 21,990. You’ll be able to choose from two color options as well, Crystal Flake and Cosmic Blue.

As mentioned earlier, Flipkart will have exclusive online retail rights for the new Vivo phone. Offline availability is unlikely for the Vivo T3 at the time of launch.

Flagship Display and MediaTek 5G Chip

At the heart of the Vivo T3 is MediaTek’s very capable Dimensity 7200 system-on-chip fabricated on the 6nm process. The octa-core CPU has integrated 5G modem and is proven to deliver excellent performance, battery life and next-gen connectivity.

It is paired with 8GB of fast LPDDR5 RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. The phone runs Vivo’s latest Funtouch OS 13 interface based on Android 13.

For multimedia consumption and gaming, there’s a big 6.67-inch AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution and fast 120Hz refresh rate. Peak brightness tops out at 1800 nits for easy outdoor visibility under harsh lighting. There’s also HDR10 and HDR10+ format support for streaming movies and shows.

Triple Camera Setup

Photography is handled by a triple rear camera array featuring a 50MP Sony IMX882 primary sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS), plus auxiliary depth and macro sensors. The main cam should capture crisp, detailed shots in most conditions. OIS helps avoid blurry low light shots.

The 16MP front camera should also enable good quality selfies and video calls.

Big Battery with 44W Fast Charging

Fueling the package is a large 5,000 mAh battery pack. This should easily deliver over a day of active usage for most people without needing a top up during the day.

When you do run low, the bundled 44W FlashCharge tech promises to take the battery from 0 to 61% charge in just 30 minutes. So quick charging on the go is certainly not a concern with the Vivo T3.

Other Notable Features

Some other useful features tipped for the Vivo T3 are dual stereo speakers for an immersive audio experience, IP54 splash resistance to withstand light rain and dust, 1TB microSD card slot for storage expansion and compatibility with 10 5G network bands in India for reliable next-gen connectivity across carriers.

Closing Thoughts

With trendy design, the different MediaTek Dimensity 7200 5G chip, great AMOLED screen and fast charging, the Vivo T3 shapes up to be an exciting new option in India’s highly competitive sub-₹25,000 smartphone segment when it launches on March 21.
